How to hear the tv sound through the speakers of a stereo receiver or domicile theater system.

The three most common methods to allow the television sound exist heard through the speakers of a stereo receiver or home theater organisation are:

  • Pick 1: HDMI connection using the Sound Return Aqueduct (ARC) characteristic (Preferred method)
  • Choice 2: Connection using Optical Digital Cablevision or Coaxial Digital Cable (Digital sound)
  • Option 3: Connectedness using Audio Cable (Analog sound)

Notes:

  • Both devices being continued must back up the ARC feature. HDMI ports may be marked with ARC to show which one to use.  If non, bank check your product manual or specifications to see if the ARC feature is supported. Manuals are posted on your model back up page.
  • If you lot find that your Tv set, A/Five receiver or home theater (HT) system does not supportARC, you will need to employOption two: Coaxial Digital Cable, Optical Digital Cable, or Choice 3: Audio Cablevision to connect your devices.
  1. Connect an HDMI cablevision to the HDMI ports labeled ARC, or the port identified in your transmission that supports ARC.
  2. Gear up Speakers to Sound organization.
    The steps below are an example on Android TV or Google Television receiver.

      • Select Brandish & Sound — Audio output — Speakers — Audio system.
      • Select Sound — Speakers — Audio arrangement
  3. Turn on the Command for HDMI setting on both the TV and the receiver or habitation theater system.

    Notation: The steps required to enable the Control for HDMI feature may vary. Cheque the operating instructions supplied with the devices for model-specific steps. Manuals are posted on your model support folio.


Option 2: Connection using Optical Digital Cable or Coaxial Digital Cable (Digital audio):

    • Depending on the Idiot box model, some jacks may not be available.

  1. Connect a Coaxial Digital Cablevision, Optical Digital Cable, or Audio cable to the audio output jack of the television receiver.
  2. Connect the other stop of the cable to the corresponding jacks on the stereo receiver or home theater arrangement.

    Note: Depending on the stereo receiver or home theater system being used, the sound input may be labeled TV INPUT or VIDEO INPUT.

  3. Plough on the television.
  4. When using the Optical Digital Cable connectedness, ready Speakers to Audio system.
    The steps below are an example on Android Television or Google TV.

      • Select Display & Sound — Audio output — Speakers — Sound system.
      • Select Sound — Speakers — Audio system
  5. Set up the television sound to the desired setting of either Fixed or Variable.

    Notes:

    • Some TV models do non have this setting.
    • For Android TV with this setting option, select Audio out (Fixed) and adjust the volume on an external output device such as an audio system.
      If you lot select Audio out (Fixed), sound will be output from both the Tv and external output device. If you want to output TV sound only from the external output device (mute audio from the TV), decrease the Television volume to the lowest level or mute it.
  6. Turn on the stereo receiver or dwelling house theater organization.
  7. Fix the stereo receiver or habitation theater system to the proper input.

Note: When the TV's Headphone/Audio out is ready to Sound out (Variable)

The volume on an external output device such as an audio system is linked to the Idiot box volume, and sound is output from both the TV and external output device. If you want to turn off merely the audio output from the TV, change the Speakers setting on the TV to Audio system.
Note that if you lot decrease or mute the TV volume while the Speakers setting on the TV is set to TV speakers, the sound from the external output device will decrease or be muted.
